It saddens me, since I haven't seen Edwin De Los Santos fight for quite some time outside the fiasco against Stevenson from 2023 which wasn't Edwin's fault. Probably the most entertaining Dominican Professional boxer besides Alberto Puello and Rohan Polanco.

But his team did right by him, as he looked drained as he had a long break from coming from having medical issues, only to fight against someone who doesn't and has a significant weight advantage. Edwin also looks off, as if he had stopped strength conditioning for a long period of time to be able to recover. Though the physique doesn't mean he wouldn't be able to fight, but it makes me think his cardio and physical prowess is also affected from the lay off.

Odd that he was offered a deal for a championship fight at this specific time.

Good move by the promoter, fighter broke the contract and de los santos goes home with his full purse without taking a punch. Find him a tune up to not waste the full camp and get him a second check out of it. Keyshawn overplayed his hand and now he’s out there in limbo with a wasted camp, no check and no fight.

Good move by the promoter. I think Keyshawn was going to win handily. And it was only going to be worse with Davis not even trying to make weight when De Los Santos did his part. Sounds like De Los Santos is going to fight for this vacant belt next. That's a promoter taking care of a fighter right there. Smart. Keyshawn has no one to blame but himself. Almost 5 lbs over! Ridiculous.
