A Brit here, and yes, Dirrell was robbed.
He did run, but what did you want him to do? Exchange and get knocked out?
He was still landing, and I thought his countering was pretty impressive.
I realise people get robbed in every country, but that doesn't mean you excuse it when it happens in your own. Dirrell deserved to win and I'm disappointed about the decision.Comment

As fans we need to think of the sport, we can't reward running. It's not Spanish bullfighting, people don't want to watch that crap. They want to see a fight and only the champion wanted to fight, he deserved to keep his belt.Comment

what's bad for the sport is getting robbed in Rottingham...Comment

But he was fighting a guy that could have knocked him out with one clean punch.
And not everything he did was bad for the sport. In fact a lot of things were good. When I watch boxing, I don't just look at the fists. The way he slipped and rolled was impressive, his countering too. And his footwork is very sharp.
Froch didn't give us any of those things, which a boxing fan would inevitably admire. Is Froch, therefore, bad for the sport?Comment
