Wow! This sensation Moses Itauma is the best young phenom to storm the heavyweight division since... Mike Tyson. Down on it's knees, in critical condition, just when the sport needs one most, boxing has produced a new young spectacular marvel. This kid is going to electrify not only boxing but sport.
The savior of boxing has finally emerged!

I doubt he'd fight like that if he was packing glass tbf.
He's looking spectacular precisely because he is throwing with his opponents.
What that looks like when he fights your Hrgovic's Parker's, Dubois' or whatever of this world who knows.
Also heavyweights are always gonna get knocked out eventually.
To succeed at heavy they do need to hold a good shot but they're never gonna be able to take their opponents best shot if he's good. Just improbable.Last edited by Sparked_26; 05-27-2025, 04:37 PM.Comment

We got to hope our boy doesn't run into his career's Artur Spzilka and get roundly outboxed by someone everyone presumed was a bit s.hit.

Is there any anecdotal evidence to support the claims Itauma can't take a punch? As there was with Wilder, as Wladimir Klitschko KOed Wilder with a jab in sparring. Wilder was nowhere close to being one of the biggest hitters in history, that was just hype propaganda fueled by a phony record against PBC set ups. Itauma is a different style from Tyson but both are electric in their own ways. Like Tyson, I think Itauma will be even better against the higher level competition.Comment

No.
It's all come from Martin Bakoles trainer Billy Nelson. So yes, yet more martin bakole sparring stories.
I don't know what his chin is like and we will find that out at some point
But at least with Itauma it's not like Jared Anderson who there was clearly never anything special about.
Itauma has the fastest handspeed I can remember seeing for a long time, he's faster than Parker, Ruiz and David Haye, I don't recall seeing faster handspeed at heavyweight.
The fact he can generate ko power whilst moving backwards is also extraordinary, it means opponents are literally never safe.
There's a lot of unanswered questions but if Itauma does have a solid chin he's going to be a serious problem
