It was difficult pinning Nathaniel Collins down ahead of his fight against Lee McGregor in Glasgow but Elliot Worsell got there in the end

Never heard of this guy before. Mildly heard of Lee McGregor. While watching the introductions to the fight it seemed like McGregor was getting all the shine, but Collins was announced last which would typically mean he's the A-side. But for some ****** reason in the UK a lot of times the A-side is announced first lately. So, I had no idea what to expect from Collins though he looked very confident as he was being introduced and I wondered if it was real or false bravado. Dude put on a show. He has a style I like, with slick movement, excellent counterpunching, and punch variety. I'm looking forward to seeing his next fight and finding out more about his level.

To be honest, I'm British and I'd never heard of Collins. I'm more into elite fighters from around the world than domestic level dust-ups. I saw they were the same age, had sparred together but McGregor had been in with a higher level of competition. The only thing that gave me pause was that McG started out at 118, I saw it as a coin-toss - it was anything but.

It seems Collins is right, then, that he hadn't gotten the media attention other British fighters with similar achievements have gotten. Otherwise, you might have heard of him though you focus on elite talent worldwide (too much boxing going on to watch everything, for sure). He also said he hasn't been backed by a big promoter. I thought, perhaps, he was with Queensbury and since until recently they did their shows on Sky and TNT which I don't have access to that is why I hadn't heard of/seen him before.
