Keith and Errol were the top guys among a handful of good fighters

I believe David Benavidez is about this level. Max Miguel Cotto tier

I found out that even the smallest differences in their record could be the difference between being a top 10 P4P fighter.
Their only difference is that Thurman did not fight Brook and Mikey.

The Ring put Spence in the top 10 P4P for beating a damaged Brook (after fighting GGG) and they kept him in the top 10 for beating another P4P fighter, lightweight Mikey.
They also still kept him in the top 10 for a whole year after the Bud beating.

If you go back on here when Spence was suppose to fight Thurman i said Thurman would win. This was before Spence went back to the Bud table cause he didn't want to give Thurman a fight.

Spence was not that much more inactive then Thurman. Before the Bud fight Spence had only had 2 fights in nearly 4 years, another 2 years no fight since and a couple months back WBC had him ranked at 1 at 154. Yet never saw people go on about his inactivity he gets a pass. Bud is a bit more active but still gets a pass for being a once a year fighter. Spence vs Thurman, Garcia vs Bud, Thurman vs Bud are all fights that could have happened if they all didn't start being inactive (yes even injuries aside, there was still time for all 3 to have more fights than they have had past 6 years)

I don't hate the guy, but I do feel that he wasted his best years. Yes, he was injured, but he also dropped out of sight, got married, and stayed out of the ring for years. And yet, he still talks like he's a contender who never really left and can come back at any moment to challenge the top guys. Except, it never happens. He's all talk at this point and washed up.

Don't confuse having good diction and intellect. Keith Thurman is not that smart....maybe compared to morons like Teofimo or Ryan.

Shawn Porter is much smarter than Keith and received no hate.

Keith got hate for not fighting consistently and ducking Errol Spence

Thurman is one of the biggest disappointments of the past decade imho. He became a 2-fight a year boxer too soon, and he was chronically inactive. Look at the amount of time between fights and that will illustrate why people stopped caring about his career. He missed his window to become a P4P fighter.

Thurman hated when Mayweather gave him the cold shoulder and fought Maidana, yet he turned around and behaved the same towards Spence. Spence simply usurped him because Thurman was always fxcking inactive.

I think his corniness and the fact that he was injury prone with long layoffs are the major reasons why fans grew tired of him.

i always felt he would give Crawford a tough fight though
