I see posts like "why did manny choose barrios and not boots or norman, he's cherrypicking!"
maybe it has something to do with manny and barrios being pbc fighters under contract with amazon?
boots work with hearn and dazn
norman with top rank and espn
manny vs barrios is the easiest deal to make
hearn hates pacquiao
bob and pacquiao bitterly parted waysComment

Knob gobbling way of looking at this.
The sport would be uplifted should a young champion needing exposure gain it from beating a popular, aging veteran and sending him into retirement..
Why wouldn’t any boxing fan want that?

Floyd did over 1.5 mil ppvs 5 or 6 times. He was the cash cow. He was uplifting the sport every time.
I don’t view him as anything other than what I’ve posted multiple times- an ATG HOFer that is clearly the 2nd best of Floyd’s era/generation.
That was corny.Comment

what makes you think Manny will lose??? so the sport would be uplifted if a young champion beat down on an old champion? how so? Everyone would be saying "he beat a washed up pacquiao"...The young champions need to fight each other. That's one way to uplift the sport... Inoue vs Cardenas made a lot of noise, and it wasnt a young champion beating on an old champion... it's called having the balls to fight and put on an exciting show!! there's enough young guys right now that can do this, but half of them are too scared to fight and instead wanna display the "sweet science" that yall brag about......Comment
