i was impressed by dirrel once he realized that the ref wasn't gonna penalize any points from froch...he stood in the pocket in the late rounds and took over the fight with his combination punching and accuracy...definitely rocked froch a few times...by the end of the fight dirrel was backing froch into the ropes with his shots...if that was an experienced dirrel in there, he would have put froch on his back...
Can't people get it through their heads!??

I could green K you again if I could. His speed last night was incredible. Yes he is green and could have fought better as I think the big moment got to him a bit, but he still won the fight cleanly in my eyes.
Now with that "Loss" on his record, he will only get better. he knows how well he did last night and will only get more confident as he keeps going.
That's understandable.
I don't know how my father would have Frochos winning last night.Comment

Ditto on that one, you got yours last night also. The funny thing is. I love froch's give and take style and favored him big time. I love give and take sluggers. I never thought much of Dirrell before last night and what I did see before last night did not really impress me.
I also know what i saw last night! LOL Dirrell is coming into his own big time and not only won that fight, but is going to be a force. A real force. Those hands and feet are gifts from God. He is only going to get more confident and will be a giant with a little more time.Comment

Dirrell was pretty green and I would say he was naive in his appraoch to the fight.
Hopefully Dirrell learned some hard lessons, including that doing enough to win a fight is not always enough to get the decision. Need to grab the fight by the throat and utilize his advantages to the fullest (although he does have the part down about limiting his opponent effectiveness).Comment
