Fantastic fight. Two warriors who deserve a lot of credit. Leigh Wood gets a final hurrah on home turf. Time to hang them up now champ.

Brutal last round, wood should consider retiring.

two warriors. respect. i never expected from cacace to defeat cordina, warrington and wood. he's the best british fighter below light heavyweight.

I remember talking to Leigh's cousin in the bar ahead of the 1st Lara fight, and she mentioned that she was worried about him going on too much longer and that was 3 years ago

I was bouncing back from Cissokho/Mean Machine and Wood/Cacace, but from what I saw, Wood never seemed to get into any offensive rhythm. That's partly due to the inactivity.

Two year inactivity and this is Wood's debut at Super Featherweight against a 5'10 fighter that beat both Joe Cordina and Josh Warrington in 2024. Not saying Wood would win in a rematch or if he didn't have these issues, just thinking that these factors played a role in the fight.
