    Andre Dirrell's future

I thought he won the fight easily. However, I wasn't surprised by the decision considering the way Dirrell was running. I gave most of the early rounds to Dirrell because he was controlling the action and landing the, very rare, but only clean, punches in the fight. I remember thinking that those rounds would cost Dirrell the fight. Nothing was really happening, and Dirrell's double jab and few right hands would not win him rounds in England. Froch's punches were ugly; he was throwing that wide lead hook that caught nothing but air...

I also thought there were rounds where Dirrell would tag him cleanly a lot and would get pushed around and fall on his damn knees too many times. A combination of him running, getting his head caught underneath Frochs arms, and getting hit in the back of the head cost him some rounds. All this dude was doing was complaining, and he even got tagged while complaining to the refs...

That being said I think Dirrell proved that he has some skill. He is one hell of an athlete and has some serious hand speed. He doesn't always sit on his punches (like when he throws the lead right) but he's got some pop.
He has a lot of work to do. He needs to stop running around with his damn hands down. He needs to stop pulling straight back. He needs to get his ****ing head straight and stop complaining to the refs, understand that he's in there to fight. He needs to stop giving up rounds by running. He needs to have some balls and fight on the inside. He needs to stop leaving himself wide open when hes tired. (last 4 rounds.. he was wide open froch just couldnt counter him)
That being said, this kid has a future. Those things are all correctable. Dirrell has too much potential to fail imo.

    I second that.
