Well, considering that Caleb Plant was in a competitive fight against Canelo, I have no reason to believe that Crawford won't be leading on the cards.
Anyone starting to give Crawford a decent chance at Canelo?

Question will be if Crawford is willing to engage early against the naturally bigger and stronger man. Bud doesn’t have the power to hurt Canelo. If he finds himself down on the cards in the middle rounds he will have to start letting his hands go.
Bud is a great fighter but he is the underdog here.
I will be there in Vegas.
maybe Bivol too

Bud will see if he can trade with Nelo
Find out that he can't
Decides it will be best to be safe and "not GKTFO"
Nelo blamed again for not KO'ing an opp.Comment

Skull.proved it's not hard to survive against nelo, and bud will do that well. In fact Bud probably less scared nowComment

was a 50/50 fight.. but that was before TC's fight at 154... TC's fight at 154 showed us that his power didnt carry over (at least we didnt see it), It also showed us that TC is hesitant to engage. Now picture TC taking shots from Canelo... im not saying canelo is this hard hitter with devasting power, BUT his power at 168 is respected. He has also been fighting at the higher weights so he's more custom to taking shots at this weight. So i cannot see TC hurting canelo.. I also cannot see TC successfully outboxing canelo to a decision... But it's boxing so anything can happen.Comment

Crawford has to be one of the most respected boxers from a wide variety of groups. I bet if we could somehow make them p4p the same size majority of people would pick Crawford, as they should. Crawford is a better boxer, by far has a better ring iq, is more athletic, better punch variation, better foot work, longer reach relative to his size. But that's the thing, Canelo I believe is just too big. I think Crawford is a special once in a life time fighter whereas I think Canelo is a once in a ten-year fighter.Comment

Did you guys all just forget that Crawford-Madrimov happened?
Extraordinary guys move up in weight and all-of-a-sudden look very ordinary. Happened to Bud moving up to 154, and now he's going to fight the P4P best two weight classes higher than a weight class he looked ordinary in?
Be serious. This is Kell Brook vs Golovkin ****.Last edited by paulf; 05-08-2025, 10:01 AM.Comment
