Re Conwell Ortiz. Bread is full of doo doo. He can't admit he's totally wrong. His tribalism is becoming so obvious and it keeps him from being a truly top tier analyst. He's supposed to be color blind but he just isn't.

Ironically enough, you're so concerned with my opinion you took time out of your life to comment. Funny stuff

Even more ironic is how you come on here to complain about Breads opinion every week like a whiney lil ho yet you won’t stop reading his mailbag. How about just shutting your beech a$$ up.

I don’t think it is all about ethnicity. It is quite easy for someone who is a sports journalist to deliver an unbiased opinion. I wouldn’t be surprised, at all, if Bread is close to people who train or work with Conwell, so, obviously, he is going to big him up. He should be man enough to say ‘I got that one wrong’

Before I read your post I was thinking the same thing - Breadman just cannot admit to being wrong. He has to be the smartest man in the room at all costs. In this case the cost is - being very, very silly. In this column he claims that Conwell is not top 3 at 154 because he was just beaten by a guy who is not top 3. He rates Vergil Ortiz in the top 20 p4p (the only fighter at 154 by the way) but at the same time claims that Conwell is very close to Vergil Ortiz and their performance level is about even. I had to read it three times to make sure I got that right.

By the way, I am not sure about the color of the skin thing. I think he is just attached to being right all the time, no matter what, even when proven wrong.

How can their performance level be about even? Ortiz had a hard fight against Bohachuk who is a top guy in the division.

Conwell had a hard fight against a guy no one ever heard of who wasn’t in the top 10.

                    I don’t get that comment.
