Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker confirmed as next for WBO title after Usyk-Dubois II

I think the only way Usyk will lose is to someone who can land a bunch of heavy body shots. Parker or Kabayel have the best chance, but the reality is they need father time to catch up with Usyk first.

Parker's just a guy who got beat up by Dillian Whyte. I can't really take him seriously vs someone like Uysk.
He's the guy Dubois just ducked and that Usyk didn't want to risk losing to so chose the guy he already beat up instead, Dubois.

But I'd imagine he'll just sit out and wait.
Parker would beat Dubois.

Kabayel maybe, but he stands to inherit the WBC title if and when Usyk retires before fighting him so it's doubtful he'd take that.
Parker already has recent wins over Bakole, Chisora, Zhang, and Wilder. Joshua looks shot to pieces and is trying to lure a retired Fury into a cashout fight.
So who does that even leave for Parker to lose to? Ajagba? Pulev? Hrgovic? Miller? I'd pick Parker to beat any of those guys.

Just to vent about a general point, no opinion offered on today's example:
Several contributors to Boxing Scene's hallowed comments sections are extremely lïberal with their use of the term "ducking".
They use it as soon as a guy signs to fight another guy.
Like, the exact instant the final pen lifts from the contract paper these fücking irritants are immediately accusing someone of ducking the third, fourth or fifth guy.
IT TAKES TIME TO MAKE MATCHES & A PATH MUST BE TAKEN BY ALL, ONE OPPONENT AT A TIME.
Ahem, apologies for shouting but ducking is proven over time & not because two guys signed to fight each other in a two man fight.

I dont care much for the Uysk v Dubois rematch, it stinks that Parker, ducked by Dubois now gets shafted once again when he was most deserving of the shot v Uysk....
