    I'm impressed by Dirrell.

Win or lose, he did really amazing losing only by SD in Frochs backyard.
It was a huge step up and it was the first time he went 12 rounds EVER!

It was only his 19th fight, no wonder if his style seemed a bit nervous. But I'm sure he won’t be an easy to deal with later on.

I'm no fan, but in my book, he earned his place in the tourney.

He should leave his bike outside the ring. The judge that had him winning was a bit loopy I think.

The one that i'm curious as to why he's in it at all is Taylor. Is like they said:"ok, get 3 black american boxers and three white euros."

Why isn't andrade or bute in this?

he has really good skills and speed and some pop and good footwork. the one thing that ****ing irritated me was all that holding, I just dont enjoy that kind of defence. He resorts to it far too much and spoils the flow of the fight and the viewing enjoyment. Boxing after all is as much about entertaining the fans as beating the other man and I would not pay good money to go so this guy box if he resorts to holding as much as he did.

Impress a bit and thats because he was fighting outside of his country after only 19 fights in a tough atmosphere, Apart from that someone with the level of his skills should have done better against a slow-footed, Wild swinging Froch, Its a fight he should won by fighting better for that i think he deserve to lose and rightly so.

I was impressed with a lot of what I saw,and it was inexperience that cost him this fight,in fact,I think Dirrell will want to kick himself when he watches it back. This fight was a great learning fight for him, this is where he gains that experience. I think he will come back stronger. He was just too negative, but when the dust settles he will realise that he does belong at world level. Despite all the fervent nonsense on here today,I think the guy can hold his head up and be proud of his performance.

Dont forget, this is his first fight at anywhere near this level.

Perhaps the pre-fight bull**** got to be a little over the top. I think the emotions spoiled both fighters somewhat.

it not so much holding, thats part of boxing, but he was hugging not allowing froch to do any work, thats basically the same as froch tying dirrel's laces together so he can't use his footwork.

Dirrell has real potential as a boxer, he's technically very good and is lightening fast around the ring. He has great speed and reflexes, he was almost flawless apart from running but abit more training i think he could be something special!
