Howcome When Hatton holds in England he's a *****. When Dirrel does it its smart???

Americans were really quick to call out Hatton's style of fighting saying that the refs in england are more lenient to it than in other places in the world. But when Andre Dirrell does it against Froch and the ref gives him every opportunity to hold and turns the fight into a stinker it's smart strategy???

only after he abused the hell out of his holding. He was given at least 15 warnings before that point deduction.

yes there are people ripping into him for it but there are also those that believe direll was robbed regardless of how big of a stinker he turned the fight.

And most of those folks are the same folks that would turn around and rip hatton for holding so much. This thread was directed mostly for them.

dude thats the point...direll didnt really fight a good fight but STILL did enough to win...easy...froch did nothing effective..He didnt hurt him once he landed about 3 meaningful blows the entire fight....really...race and countries aside...

dumb analogy...hatton holds a hell of a lot more than dirrell does for one...two, hatton has never lost a decision...

nobody here is saying dirrell fought a great fight...it was boring as ****...most people just think froch doesnt deserve to win for hitting air for 12 rounds...

The thing that really made me laugh was in the post-fight interviews, Dirrell actually claimed that it was Froch doing the holding. That was the same view shared by some of the Americans who were posting on here in the early hours of the morning too, tried to blame the holding on Froch lol. I stopped taking them seriously here.
