Some 9-5 can sap a person of their will to live
Barely existing.
A captive audience, even while losing, and getting paid.....
Not sustainable but hard to give up when your retirement choices are limited.

Joe Joyce isn't doing a 9-5.

Imagine having the option to earn a few hundred thousand for fighting. He's going to keep fighting.

I'm not sure he will have earned enough to keep him in retirement yet.

Retirement is a personal decision, and it's not my call. But the logic isn't good. For the record, the time to retire from boxing is while you still have your wits about you, not after they're gone.
