Tonight reminded me of RJJ at the Olympics ...

How many times have you seen a young roy jones slipping and falling in a boxing ring? Or complaining to the ref.
I was disappointed that Dirrell didn't show enough "grit". It is fine to be an elusive, defensive fighter. But you must also be tough and gritty when necessary.
Whitaker didn't get bullied by Chavez. Mayweather didn't get bullied by Hatton. In fact, PBF's opponents sometimes complain that he gets dirty. That is what I was looking for from Andre. To get carl's respect. He didn't do that enough tonight. Something tells me that Andre doesn't get in enough gym wars.
Dirrell will be fine. But he has some more work to do.Comment

the argument here is - what did froch do to win the fight? nothing
dirrell proved to be the better fighter here and clearly won by a number of rounds on the scorecards.
hence, why i say it's a similar robbery to that of RJJ in the olympics.
don't forget how many people commended Amir Khan's tactics during his last championship fight (wasn't he running)? and to add to that wasn't he leading by a huge amount. This fight was similar to that but Dirrell was on another level.Comment
