Whoah lot of anger on the forum! Lets face it, whatever the result it was a crap fight. The fight in Berlin was much more entertaining, and I feel sorry for Taylor - he really goes out to fight but there's an inevitability about the whole thing! As for Crotch Squirrel.....
Rubbish fight. I'm a brit but I had Dirrel a few points ahead. But so many of the rounds were dire and difficult to score. I guess the judges saw froch hunt down Dirrel for the whole fight and rewarded his agression / willingness to embrace the fight. Dirrel was moaning and running away a lot, but ultimately surely the "hit and not be hit" adage must apply and on the basis of that Dirrel should have got the decision. Either way, crap fight so who cares really.

I agree that kessler will outclass froch but Abraham v froch will be a war - I'm looking forward to that one!

B.T.W. - I dont think it was a hometown decision, (none of the judges or ref were british). They must have been swayed by the crowd plus plenty of judges just hate fighters that run, moan and dont engage. Bad decision but no robbery.

It is often easy to give more rounds to the more slick-looking fighter. Doesn't necessarily mean he really deserved it.

Some would say it's easier to give more rounds to the more aggressive fighter.

I'm British & i also have to say that Dirrell clearly won the fight. Froch was so slow and terrible. Dirrell didn't run he was outboxing Froch and making him miss badly. The only punches Froch could even land was when he was holding Dirrell in a clinch and rabbit punching him with his other hand. Froch is so slow he couldn't catch a cold and from what I've seen he won't make it past 6rds with Kessler. Props to Dirrell though he came over here, fought his fight & should have won & took the controversial loss like a man.

The truth is that dirrel did win but he did not win convinsingly enough to beat froch

At home. Dirrel did outbox froch and won on points but he did not do enough to beat the champ at home. Remember it is not enough to just barely beat the champ on points you have to convinsingly beat him. Direll is still green but he will be a force to recken with. What is interesting is that no one here is talking about how bias and horrible the fuggin ref was. He took a point from direll and let froch get away with every dirty tactic. I give froch credit for having heart but i think his fate is just like hattons.

Wrong judges are not casual fans and they do respect defensive boxing. This is not the ufc where two juys stand in front of ez other and hit each other. It s just the casual fan that doesnt understand boxing' hit and dont be hit that gets fustrated with direll style.

Back on topic: Dirrell still thinks he is in the amateurs, you can't run away tagging your opponent once a round and win in the pros.
And it is FROCH's job to nullify that.

You also can't bull your way in ineffectively, take shots, rabbit punch an win ... unless it's Nottingham and your name is Froch.

Anywhere else, Froch would have gotten the right decision.

                  Anywhere.

                    No.

You should accept that Froch lost.

It's OK though. This fight more than highlighted Froch as a slow fighter who will never be able to beat a boxer.

                    Toe to toe? Sure.

                    Boxing skill? Never.

                    good day
