Makes sense. Even if he loses to Canelo it wouldn't make sense to go back to 154. Either retire or drop to 160 and take on a guy like Lara or Adames.

He will lose to Canelo it is a mismatch that should not happen but most "fans" have helped over hype it to the point we now get it. He will lose to Canelo and either retire, or if he does fight again will go back to 154.

The not coming back to 154 in this case just means this year, so they don't want to let him hold their interim hostage that is all they mean. As we know he is going to sit out and wait for the Canelo payday
