If Dirrell's corner knew they wouldnt get the decision...

Then why didn't they come with a more offensive gameplan?
Dirrell was hardly going for the knockout but could have won the fight even more clearly throwing more punches...

He took the chance of being slightly negative to get the job done, which I think he did... but it was always a CHANCE fighting in his opponents backyard with that gameplan

So much was proven tonight, you cant sway a hometown decision boxing defensively, jermain taylor is done, arthur abraham makes joshua clottey look like calzaghe when it comes to output, froch is unbelievably poor technically (even after looking terrible against taylor) and Dirrell could cause a few upsets, in an unimpressive fashion

They realized the fight was rigged after Dirrell was deducted a point. The gameplan was doing well, but Froch was allowed to constantly rabbit punch and hit after the break... It turned the boxing match into a UFC match, and Dirrell had to dig deep. The point deduction killed all hope.

Froch is a bum and should be ashamed of himself. Someone needs to put a bullet in his head if he thinks he deserves that belt.

Probably because they thought that with having neutral judges and so much exposure that surely they wouldn't get robbed?

Still, the tournament has been exposed for what it is now; a sham

He fought a good fight overall. He shouldn't have held as much though. he could've fought smarter by feigning a clinch then unloading a combination in Froch's face, or Crotch as Antonio Tarver called him. and the ref? :bukkake:

Very disappointing. How much did Froch land? i think Dirrell got more PPs in too and more punches overall that landed, obviously.

Personally, I think they were saying that to him because they could see he hurt Froch, and if he let his hands go, he could have knocked down or even TKO'd Froch. Dirrell probably lacked the confidence to go all out, and they wanted to basically encourage him into doing so.

Dirrell looked very green to me. I agree with Keyser Soze's post.
