  • Who Else Prefers British Commentators

There’s an old world esthetic to the words of British commentators. That accent is perfect for narration

still like the Americans the most when it comes to boxers turned analysts

Most of the commentators aren't great nowadays, both Brits and Americans. Some aren't bad but are there really any standouts like there used to be years ago? Easy to hit the mute button when watching boxing but there used to be a time when listening to commentators was essential.
African, Indian and Australian boxing commentators often sound a lot more lively and passionate, although sometimes with less core boxing knowledge.

I wish there is an option to mute commentators, and we only hear the sound from fighters and the crowd.

The commentators today are so biased and in love with specific fighter that they forgot that they should be neutral and calling punches on both sides instead. Also they should stop trying to Theorize whats going to happen every freaking round, when there is an actual fight happening.

Merchant, Steward, Lampley and Lederman, i miss this Old HBO group. Watch how these four interact with each other, pure gold. They do called fights the same way we see it and it resonate with us viewers. Lederman will tell his scorecards and then Merchant disagrees and explains why he thinks this specific fighter won this specific round etc.
