Unfortunately women's boxing doesn't have much of a future after Katie Taylor retires so Amanda will have a tough job keeping any eyes or promoters interested. Katie is female boxing and the only reason real boxing fans tuned into the women's game.

Laughable. There was women's boxing before Taylor, there will be women's boxing after Taylor.

This is true. I honestly think Clarissa Shields does a decent job promoting herself. She's dabbing between boxing and MMA. Serrano has her fan base, but I'm not sure she's a mega star otherwise among casuals. Honestly, I think between her and Taylor whose massive herself in Ireland, that brought the crowd. I don't think any casual truly knows who Taylor is either.

I was in Madison square garden the first time they fought and it was at least 70 percent Irish that night, granted a lot would have been new York based Irish, but no dressing up how poorly a fighter from New York was supported that night. Katie sold that event and was pretty much the reason both women got paid a couple of million each. The Netflix fight was pretty much 90 percent Katie bringing in the viewers, unfortunately for Serrano she's basically unknown outside of Brooklyn. Katie Taylor would be a household name in European boxing and would even be better known in the US than Serrano. Katie Taylor is female boxing. No one comes close to her in female boxing.

It's unfortunate I have to explain what been known in European boxing means but anyway I'll explain it. Obviously football crazy Barcelona or real Madrid supporters may never have heard of Katie Taylor, that's probably because they're football crazy and don't watch boxing, on the other hand go to any amateur boxing countries which are steeped in amateur boxing and you will absolutely meet many who will know who Katie Taylor is, she was world and European gold medalist 11 or 12 times and beat the best Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russian, polish, British, French and many other European fighters. That's just her amateur career. Katie Taylor would be known and recognized in nearly every boxing gym in Europe. The US probably wouldn't have the amateur pedigree that Europe has so Katie Taylor would most probably be known in the US from her professional career. Anyone who sells out the garden is pretty much a house hold name in boxing in the US. Serrano never fought in front of 3 thousand paying fans before Katie Taylor came on the scene. My statement stands, Katie Taylor is known on both sides of the Atlantic and further, Serrano would be known in New York and Puerto Rico. Serrano is known better today than 5 years ago but only because she lost twice to the world's best female fighter.

dont agree!! id say if u took a random state in america and asked people have they heard of amanda serrano they would say yes more often then they would katie taylor and their fights together raised BOTH their profiles together simply becuase their names were put out there more with more info and hype about the matchup!!!
