Very intrigued how they will pull off this Times Square event. The cost will be astronomical and the security insane. New Year’s Eve brings in a fortune for the city that pays for overtime and all the safeguards. This is far different

Lamply back is a terrible idea. He was in major decline his last few years w hbo and now he is 75 years old. He won't be able to keep up w speed of the fight. It's going to be very uncomfortable to watch this geriatric.

Say what you want about Lamps but we have such a dreadful roster of current boxing commentators across the board. Mares, Mannix, Porter, Mora, etc. are all God awful.

Lamps was a great color commentator and I’m happy to see him back.

Have you heard the atrocious current crop of “commentators” we have today? I’ll take senile Jim over them any day.

There are pages set up to donate to his cause, as he was broke and working as a grocery bagger before getting his diagnosis. I was stunned to learn both items of news.
