Rolly stays getting a high profile payday. He’s like a rich man’s Gabe Rosario.

Solid card. Sets up a solid future card.

Haney's in deep doo-doo here. 13 month layoff along with the bad beating he got from Garcia. It should be HIM fighting Rolly in May.

Ramirez is going to bulldoze him at 147

Ramirez will make Haney work on the second half of the fight. Rolly is brought in like a named victim. As predicted Lopez was going to take the fight if Barboza won, Catterral had the legs to give him fits.

I once attended a WCW free show that took place in NYC outside of Battery Park like in 1998-1999. The main event was the still relatively unknown Goldberg v Curt Hennig (Mr. Perfect). Chris Jericho v Dean Malenko, and of course NY native son Disco Inferno was on the card.

I don't think it was ever televised - they just set up a ring and entrance, handed out flyers to people walking by and a crowd gathered. I was a massive pro wrestling fan at the time and I couldn't believe this luck while visiting NYC with my parents. As a teenager I just blown away that they were doing this kind of event and that I walked right into it before it started. And that my parents were willing to stand there with me for hours in the sun.

It started with under 100 people just standing around not really knowing what to expect - but then the crowd grew to a good couple thousand over the hours, anywhere people could stand. They blew up for Goldberg, it was early in "undefeated" run (but I doubt many people knew that, he just immediately made an impact with live crowds). It was epic - I hope this card can deliver to someone who just randomly shows up like we did.

I was thinking the same thing. Where will the ring be and how about the crowd?

Nah Ramirez looked old slow and washed up in his last fight vs Barboza. Even his trainer Robert Garcia was talking about telling him to hang up the gloves
