Beterbiev is great, but I truly believe Bivol beat him twice. He's elite skill level.
Not only skill level, I think bivol's toughness goes under the radar. Nobody else has ever been able to soak up that Beterbiev pressure and keep their composure and not get broken down.

Elite skill and mentality but also elite toughness.

As game as they come too, he fully understands you're gonna end up having to trade with Beterbiev at some point and he does and commits to it and often come out getting the best of toe to toe exchanges.

      Bivol is a special talent.

I always predicted on here Canelo had no chance to beat him unless it was a horrible robbery. I never understood why anyone was picking Canelo, he does almost nothing better than Bivol.

As for Beterbiev, he's elite at the things he does well. I just always felt a Bivol was elite in a more well rounded way. There's not a lot between them though.

it’s wild how much Bivol’s composure upon getting hit improved in just 1 fight

in the original some Artur jabs sent Bivol on a bike with a i don’t want to be here facial expression

Artur managed to land his signature shot some CLEAN overhands this time

Bivol took them like an iron chin hero

Yeah, I think Bivol was apprehensive at times in the first fight knowing what Beterbiev did to all previous opponents. Rightly so, you're best off overestimating him than underestimating him in a way, but I thought maybe he had too much focus on what Beterbiev might be capable of.

It seems he reflected on the first fight afterwards and realised Beterbiev couldn't just run through him and is beatable, which allowed him to just focus on carrying out his own improvements.

It was more a mentality adjustment than physical.
