Freaking pumped about Ortiz. The subtle changes in his strategy, the defense, and the patience! Bring on more big fights for him.
A lot of dudes trashed him in 2024 talking about one dimension. I am not labeling him Inoue yet, but he has the goods!!

This was a close fight. It was very hard to score - especially early in the fight. I scored it a draw. If I had to declare a winner, I had Madrimov winning. But I have no problem with Ortiz getting the nod. He was the champion, he came to fight, and he hurt Madrimov way more than Madrimov hurt him.

Now you know why Crawford has been ducking Ortiz

If you had this a draw you need to learn how to score fights. Was not even close. 8-4 being generous. You can't give rounds to someone who runs and lands a few pot shots a round at best.

Ortiz beat Madrimov in better fashion than Crawford did. Much better.

Vergil reminded me of a bigger, prime Julio Cesar Chavez.
