Man, does the 160 division need some sizzle. Seems like a long time ago that the MW division was 4-5 good fighters deep. Now I hardly know anyone and the lack of interest in one of boxing's historically important divisions is sad.
I feel like Sheeraz is the next Benavidez. Very tall and agressive. Will likely move up in weight classes over the next few years, but should push to become unified champ at 160 to grow his exposure.

I know, right?
MW is where ATGs like Ray Robinson and Hagler captured the imagination of the general public, not just hard core boxing fans.
Now say, "What about that Hamzah Sheeraz, eh?" and you get a "WTF you talking about?"
Sheeraz has a very nice, hard jab, and he knows how to use it. And he definitely knows how to mix it up and packs some obvious power. The question will be how his chin will hold up versus Adames, who's also pretty sturdy and may be able to withstand Sheeraz's power. On paper, Sheeraz should win, and I hope he does, simply because he will bring more excitement to the division.
Still wondering how Lara is still around and a champion at his age, but then again he hasn't been particularly active, hasn't caught a lot of shots because of his defensive skills, and hasn't fought great opponents in the last few years.
