Usyk still said that a shopworn Fury was the best fighter he ever faced & Wilder faced a younger, fresher version & almost knocked him out 4x.
None of those top 10 fighters mattered other than Wilder, Fury, & Joshua (until Usyk fully emerged)
Fury & Wilder faced each other 3x. Joshua missed them both.
Nobody cares about Pulev & Charles Martin.

Originally posted by BrankoBWhile I was reading the comments about Calzaghe, Froch, Ward I was thinking nobody asked about a match up between Ward and Calzaghe. I always used to pick against Calzaghe and Ward and always thought there would be someone to beat them but nobody did, so later on I revised my opinion and accepted their greatness. If I had to pick between the two I would go with Calzaghe by decision.
A year ago Someone did ask Bread about a Ward-Calzaghe matchup and Bread picked Calzaghe by UD.
I also pick Calzaghe by UD. I just thought Bread would have called it a pick “em fight but he didn’t.

There isn’t anything that separates one significantly from the other. Similar quality of opponents faced, AJ was more skilled but Wilder had more one punch power and heart.Last edited by daggum; 02-16-2025, 12:57 AM.BoxOfficer likes this.
