"mild delay tactics with Gennady Golovkin aside." Come on....he dropped his belt. Also, the fans are only winners here if he fights better talent than William Scull.

I mean if the whiners problem is the Benavides fight, then Canelo joining Turki and the saudis is probably a step towards the right direction ,its evident Turki is taking over boxing(whether we like or not) and literally is the only power broker with real deep pockets to satisfy the ginger monetary demands. Simple as that.

Canelo is an unbelievable boxing success story whether you like him or not, he now plays the role of making others rich as well as himself.
Not convinced Crawford v Canelo goes ahead but good luck to Crawford for jumping divisions.

the bena fight is gone!!!! the time for it was just back wheneveryone wanted it but alas thats how boxing works one guy doesnt want what everyone else does and so it doesnt happen when it should do & the excuses just fly out, the way boxing works im afraid bena has his plate full with 175 and canelo well will just be canelo i guess

Yeah stop whining! Oh you want canelo to fight the guy who was number 1 for 4 years! Whaa whaa

Notice how canelo didn't demand 200 million to fight bums like mungia or scull? Some fighters are just cowards. No money would make him fight. 200 million demand was canelo putting up the white flag and saying yeah you got me I'm a ducking coward. Turki knows he can still exploit canelo the coward though and canelo the coward knows he can still exploit fanboys so the charade continues but real competitive boxing is obviously not for canelo

I feel like I've been a bit of a loser as a fan of boxing for most of canelo's career. Just remember nobody needs to feel the way I do and that's ok!

Early career he seemed like a weight bully to me...pulling hatton up for the wbc was nonsense. Maybe one of the softest belt wins of modern times for me. He just looked like a massive mw fighting jmw who were mostly older and/or significantly smaller. Lara and trout are the big wins here...didnt impress me as they are not atgs by any means and his scores always seemed a little wonky. Let's not talk about the floyd card...

Worst move to mw ever with the catch weights and blatant dodging of ggg. Man strength? Gtfoh

Oh now hes the king of 168, but won't fight the biggest threats in the division after picking on a very weak lineup of champs? Gtfoh

I just don't care about the guy...no other steward of boxing has left me so meh. Think Oscar, tyson, jones, Leonard, pacman, hell even floyd...its just not the same feel or satisfaction level for me.

I dont think it's about doing a profitable negotiation as much as it is someone who can spend dollars on the penny for positive attention for his country.

They just want the big "names" in sports and the don't care about worth in normal terms. That's not the goal.

Just look at what they have done with golf and soccer.
