We all know top rank is gonna have to eat their pride , bob arum will have to get on his knees and go with Dazn. We know this. This is the reason why you never talk bad about your rivals and competition. Just like Mayweather promotions calling Dazn the dead zone and then years later Floyd was doing his own exhibition on a Dazn platform lol

They should be applauded, the broadcasters who no longer blindly subsidize profits for promoters peddling sub-standard in-house fights.

Top Rank’s stable of prospects might be the best. Zayas, Abdullah Mason, Richard Torrez…

I’m disappointed, I liked the Top Rank on ESPN product.

Just like too many NBA stars look for excuses to avoid playing games, too many TR and PBC fighters look for excuses to not fight. If a TV networks does not absolutely need boxing - like DAZN does - what’s the point of putting up with the headaches of dealing with all the sport’s BS?
If anything Top Rank has their fighters quite active but not against great competition
Now PBC is one entity that shelves their fighters for months on end
Even years ; see Charlo for one

Boxing is a niche sport now. It is partially just a result of technology. When I was a kid we had 5 channels and boxing was a big deal because it was on tv. There is zero commonality now and as a result most sports are going towards niche. Most kids don't care about sports these days, along with not caring about movies or music or anything else we had as shared culture when we were children. Kids today watch youtube and play video games. I could see sports being a really tiny slice of tv in the next 20 years.

Boxing died prematurely with Mayweather and his "lose the zero and your career is over" stuff. A whole generation of boxers grew up on that and as a result the sport became terrible as guys are prospects until their mid 20s, no one wants to take a chance and beat the best.....they want a padded record and then big paydays against nobodies. Then you have Canelo, who hasn't fought a threat in years and literally makes money for beating up B level guys.

There are exceptions that have kept the sport interesting and now we see some guys talking about fighting anyone and fighting the best, because they see the popularity waning and the money isn't there as much as it used to be. A little too late though as the sport itself is dying due to the lack of commonality.

DAZN may work for awhile but eventually it probably goes to all PPV bouts as the promoters struggle to make it worthwhile. It is sad but just reality.

Dude, Bob's been around since the civil war! He could die any minute, if not any second now. And once he's gone, we all know what's gonna happen to Top rank.
