Question why don’t y’all judge David or others the same way y’all judge Canelo? I mean David was at 168 before Canelo he ducked the super 6, he ducked unification fights with both Callum smith who was Lineal and the actual champion and #1 guy NOT David, and Caleb plant which was confirmed by both they manager.. when he got stripped of his title he ducked a shot at Beterbiev already for 2 belts at 175, the man got offers from the WBO and WBA to be a unified mando for Canelo and ducked outta that which is why the WBC didn’t order the fight earlier.. literally last yr when he had his chance to make Canelo drop the belt he wrote letters twice to NOT take the Canelo fight, on top of that when Beterbiev got hurt he ducked a offer from Turki to step in and face Bivol last June and said flat out in a interview on cigar talk that he was just capping and unless he got a retirement check he can’t even fight over there and he get paid with Al haymon?
even his resume I appreciate David facing plant, Andrade and Morrell… but his first halfway decent fight was a yr ago vs plant coming off getting KO’, Andrade who was a 35yr old small guy who has never beaten a single top fighter at any weight, gvozdyk was 39 coming off a 3yr retirement, and Morrell got 11 fights? I mean correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Jermell Charlo MORE accomplished than Andrade with a better resume, on top of that didn’t Andrade DUCKED Jermell at 154 yet somehow Andrade is some crazy impressive win and David is a killer and Jermell just a cherry pick?

Conceived of by Showtime Boxing and spanning from 2009 to 2011, the Super Six tournament not only was crucial in their broadcast war against HBO sports, but also served as a means to get people interested in boxing. In fact, the tournament serves as one of my earliest memories of watching pugilism.

Benny’s first professional fight was in 2013 you fughin clown

I seriously question the money he’s paying Canelo, Crawford, Haney, Shakur, and HW’s like Miller, Joshua, Fury, and Wilder( all of whom are washed up and just in it for the money).

Canelo v Skull.. what a ridiculous fight. If Turki thinks Canelo fighting Skull instead of Canelo v Benny or Morrell is of any interest to boxing fans, he’s absolutely delusional.

Inoue v Alan Picasso Romero… Romero fights exclusively in Mexico where US fighters go to get sure wins. Junto is the fight fans want. This is yet another mismatch which make no sense.

Garcia and Haney fighting different opponents to set up a Garcia v Haney rematch…. Here again both opponents for Garcia and Haney are mismatches. Why in the world would Turki waste money on this garbage is beyond logic. a complete waste of money. Not to mention that the Saudi’s have Crawford and Shakur on standby waiting for their money grab.

How long can Turki sustain making and ridiculously paying for many of his mismatches? How long can he afford to allow Warren and Hearn to sit on the couch while he does all the heavy lifting? Obviously he’s learned nothing from the demise of HBO and Showtime.

Turki just seems to be driven more by his ego than by being an astute businessman. If Turki was the CEO of a public company for example, shareholders would revolt and give him his walking papers because he would be on the verge bankrupting the company with his foolish mismatches. His balance sheet would be as red as the Red Sea.
Looking forward, the quality of some of these fights does seem to be decreasing. The appeal in the first place was making the fights that promoters, and even some of the fighters, didnt want to risk.

He went out to buy the best stuff first and make a statement. Obviously his mindset or view of himself has changed, even if he doesn't realize it, because some of what he's buying now is just more of the same stuff that everybody else was selling all this time.

So you wanted a 14 year old Benavidez to fight in the Super 6 tournament. Because that’s how old Benny was when that tournament happened.

I know people on crack that make more sense.

So according to you, Benavidez ducked the ATG Callum Smith who came to collect a paycheck from Canelo. That sums it up?

Ok then. David ducked the great ATG Callum Smith who went on to destroy Canelo. Amiright?
