      no question it was bad!

a cut being peppered by the accurate right of Morales for 7 rounds nothing good will come out of that...

I just hope he gets OK soon. I salute him for the efforts that he has shown. It got really messed up after being hit for about 7 more rounds.

I hope Pac mends quick and properly, so that the cut wont be a problem in future fights. That being said, it bugs me that he implies that the only reason Erik won was cause he couldnt see..and then even said that his punches were falling short..except, of course, for the body shots, the same body shots he says would have knocked erik out if he had only 20 more seconds left..Sorry, but he had 12 damn rounds, what difference would 20 sec's have made?
The reporter made a few typo's too..the part about JMM winning a controversial decision isnt true, as we all know the fight was a draw.
I get the impression that Pac is doing his best to take away from Erik's victory, and in the process trying to mark Cortez as a bad ref. In the future, he should insist on a different ref. if he really thinks Cortez is bias against him or whatever.
My opinion of Pac seems to change on a daily basis, therefore I wish I had never read this article.
A rematch would be great, then Erik can repeat everything (but the headbutt, of course) he accomplished that night, and then a fresh, new list of excuses can be made up.

I know better than to believe everything I read, but it just get's to me I guess. Sorry I like Pac, and think he put up one hell of a fight, I just wish the press, etc. would stop it already. Erik NEEDED this win, in a big way, especially after losing to Barrera in a fight where he appeared down right dopey. For anyone to take away from it, or to belittle it in any way just get's my ire up. So, the news on the surgery is true, but none of the rest, you think? I'm not so sure..even after the fight while talking to Merchant pac started about the eye, but I honestly dont see how he thinks that 20 sec's would have made a difference in knocking Erik out with body shots :confused Do you think he said that much ?

i seen the interview, sometimes the english language really gets us and we could not express what we really want to say, and i dont what to put words on PAC's mouth either, he is just a proud warrior and the BS talk is just talk (for rematch purposes), maybe he has to watch the fight to better asses it and i'll also watch the fight in full today to give my own assesment...

i seen an interview afterwards in Filipino language PAC said he gave it all at the 12 but power was not there something to that effect, but please dont quote me on this ...

All of us PACFANS accept the defeat, the eye was crucial IMHO, the fight will be a lot closer, maybe PAC could have ducked more EM rights, Erik exploited the Cut to the hilt and I know now how great a boxer/figther he is and with that fight he gain a fan in me, i'll root for him against anybody except for the PACMAN ...

Its back to the drawing boards for the PAC and i cant wait for PAC's 2nd run through the gauntlet of the 3Ms ...

                  first round 1-1-1

Okay, cool. Yes, Erik did keep hitting that eye all night, but thats what they ALL do, and I'm sure Pac would have done the same if Erik had been cut. I'm glad youre now a Morales fan! Regardless, it was a great fight, and ERik won it no doubts, and I think he'd win the rematch too.
