Finally someone writes an article that has some truth to it. Those who are still defending Alvarez aren't doing him or themselves any favors. I used to like that he dared to be great. However it's been quite some time. I like how he tied Floyd to this because Canelo learned a lot from him. The truly great fighters of the past fought the best when both were either in their prime or relative age and skill. It's all about the money these days

I would love to see this clowns p4p list! Canelo is the only one testing himself then gets hated on cuz he lost. What other real so called face of boxing is willing to do the same? None!!!!! Canelo been doing it for too long! What other boxer has ever been damn near bullied into going into a higher division and facing the boogeyman (GGG) like Canelo did in his first real middleweight fight? The Chavez fight before was BS! The guy that wrote this article must be new to boxing! First of all Canelo undisputed the super middleweight division in 11 months with a mandatory that was free for us to watch that everybody forgets! All the real boxing hardcore fans said he would NEVER fight a natural super middleweight. Especially Callum Smith who was the the man at the time, huge and undefeated, just like every other champ Canelo beat at the time! They said Saunders was too slick and Canelo would avoid him! Then Caleb Plant was the one to beat him. He went through all them undefeated fighters to claim undisputed! He then tried to challenge himself and see how badass he is and you hating ass fans wanna condemn him for it!? There’s a reason why fighters like Tank, Shakur don’t even test the waters like Canelo! Fickle ass boxing fans, let me guess though! Shakur and Tank are on your p4p list with maybe 1 fight a year compared to Canelos 2-3 and they’re fighting meaningful fights you f****** clown!

If that is a move designed to force Canelo to fight David Benavidez, it won't happen. Honestly, I think it does not matter what Canelo does. Maybe his most ardent supporters care, but I think the rest of us are getting jaded over all the Canelo articles and arguments. He is choosing a certain path for himself that most of experts and fans alike disapprove of, but he is doing it nevertheless. Good luck to him and his supporters who are paying for his ppvs. I will not be watching his fights other than the Bud Crawford if it happens.

What an absolute joke of an article that is clearly littered with bias against a great fighter who has given us nothing but the best fight over the last 10 years. He's earned the right to choose who he wanted to fight and even Mayweather Jr. would NEVER have taken the fights against a Bivol in his prime. You try and justify keeping Gervonta Davis in the top 10, who does belong there. What about Bud Crawford who fights once per year, and garbage opponents?!?!?!?
