Not saying its real either, but weight classes have ceilings, not floors. They can fight at 200 and Canelo can weigh in at 170, or whatever he like, as long as its UNDER 200.

Hopefully the Crawford-Canelo fight will just be moved to November to give Canelo more time to come back down to 168 after moving up to 180ish for Paul. If not, this is disgraceful. Given all the current tension between US and Mexico, I almost think Canelo is afraid to get beaten by an American fighter - and he would lbe beaten by Bud - and lose face with his fellow Mexicans.

I think u just have to weigh anything over the preview previous weight group so to fight at cruiser youd only need to weigh 175.1+ which is where id expect them to fight. Paul usually fights at cruiser and there was a time where canelo was talking about going there to fight makabu for his title but then makabu lost and so did Canelot so it just went away.

Sad day for boxing...tyson fight was enough circus for a good bit IMHO. Who is the next fight? Musk and Bezos vs canelo at the same time or this timeline makes no sense.

Canelos career is just annoying for the last almost 10 years. Inoue is king and has been for a long time. Fights serious opposition and makes them look unserious.

To be fair I'm fine with jake fighting in general. This day and age I think it's great for the sport, and he has given out some nice bags to folks who deserve to be paid for their mma cte.

That being said, this is pure trash from a hardcore boxing fan perspective...a slap in the face.

For hardcore fans this is a slap in the face but for boxing in general this is a clearly bigger fight than Canelo vs Crawford. Canelo takes this fight and then he still has all other options after. Most would have done the same thing in his shoes.
