Canelo must've seen a ***** in Benavidez's armor. Expect to see Canelo VS Benavidez in May.

Oh he got caught a few times. That eye damage is likely a result of the haymaker he hit Benavidez with after the bell.

But yeah watch it again. Benavidez blocked a ton of shots on his high guard and then he was hitting Morrell flush around and through his guard.

And like Eco said, Morrell would whip Canelo at this point. Canelo isn't fighting anymore threats. He is on his retirement tour.

What Canelo saw was a prime Benavidez whip a taller man with longer reach and real KO power.

Canelo will never fight a serious threat again. If he was going to he would have done it before lining up his farewell tour of Ryder, Charlo, Mungia and Berlanga. All except Ryder extremely overrated and Ryder gave him issues. Charlo wasn't even an active fighter and came up for the check and a jog. Mungia and Berlanga are both dumb, dumb fighters.

Canelo knows Benavidez kicks his ass and embarrasses him. He will never do it, Benavidez is not aging out anytime soon and Canelo has probably two more farces I mean fights and he will retire.

I just watched it earlier on slo mo. The same case can be made for both. Morrell was blocking alot of shots too but Benavidez throws so fast and hard it looks like they land.
I dont think Morrell could WHIP Canelo, but I could see him winning just due to the size and youth. Plus Canelo doesn't have the offensive activity like Benavidez. It's a very bad style matchup.

Canelo wants nothing to do with Benavidez, not in May, not ever.

Guys, remember when Canelo was 19 years old and said he'd drop down to 152 for a mega fight with Floyd? Same deal here, Benavidez is still willing to fight Canelo at 168, with a rehydration clause to boot. Why, well there's about 10 million reasons why...

Jake Paul is like 200...is this gonna be at a catchweight or something like 180?

Looks like it is a done deal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J59p_y7QZAo

He's not fighting Benavidez for no title. Are you nuts?

If he was to got to 75, it would be for the winner of Bivol/Beterbiev II.

Far more likely he fights Jake Paul and William Scull this year.

Hell, fighting Zurdo for the 200lb title is more likely than Benavidez. Dude has no belt. Canelo doesn't fight for bragging rights anymore.
