The knockdowns kept the fight close, still, they were clean shots and no controversy, it wasn't a stoppage, he yielded, and there was no controversy with that either.

I say give Shane a crack at it. I think he deserves it. Lara should far and away be the favorite. Only strong pressure fighters give him fits. Angulo fight was close because of the knockdowns, and Hurd had him really wound up and tight throughout the fight.

Mosley, Jr. ain’t any of that but I still think they should make that fight and put it on the first fight of a televised PPV event. Maybe bury it on a PBC card or something.

Niether of them are better than Lara. My point stands. Casamayor was good but he's not better than Lara. In the last 20 years. It's Rigo and Lara for Cubans. Then the rest follows. Now if you want to make an all time cuban list we will be here all night.

Lot's of people Don't No Sh_t About Boxing, Lara is 160 but campaign most of his career at 154 whereas Shane has been @ 168 but can make 160 which he should have to make fighting an old MF'er like Lara and I'm not taking anything away from his accomplishments but you just can't teach an old dog new tricks, in this case it's an ancient dog. Absolutely.

I actually like Shane Jr, though.

He might not have A level anything, but he’s decent enough to get a crack at a serious contender or champion or interim or something.

5 wins in a row and he made me surprised the fact that he beat Gabriel Rosado and Danny Jacobs (even if those two are past it).
