Upstages? That's more than a stretch. Davis needs at least 2 or 3 quality wins vs top guys b4 he's even brought up in any conversation. As of right now he's barely even mentioned.

One thing that Keyshawn has that most fighters don't is charisma. That's priceless , it can't be taught. What can be taught is how to speak appropriately in public so that your words can be put in print or broadcast media to a large audience. A lot of boxers would benefit from taking that class.

Now he just needs to back it up and get that title. He impressed vs Lemos, and that was a masterclass marketing job for his first title fight. Hopefully he keeps that energy if he beats Berinchyk and really does go for those unification fights. Or he could try to keep things rolling by taking on Andy Cruz to shut down that narrative, cause Cruz is coming for him regardless. That might be worth marinating though, because it's built in beef and Cruz is probably good enough to get a title after Loma and Tank retire at the end of the year.

Definitely impressive the way Keyshawn handled the press. If he’s able to back that up with a quality career, it would really mean something. But upstaged? Who’s looking forward to his fight more than Benavidez-Morrell? Not many. All eyes were on David squared, and their shenanigans added to the belief that there’s real animosity — and therefore their encounter is likely to be ferocious. Tomorrow night, baby.

I don't think that Keyshawn will fight Andy Cruz any time soon. In fact, he will keep coming up with every excuse in the book not to fight him. Why? Because his daddy has his number and Keyshawn knows it.

I guess we'll see. If so, he's just another American social media primadonna like Shakur, Tank, Haney, Teo, Ryan Garcia, etc. But amateurs are very different from pros, in really important ways. Cruz may have his number across 3 rounds with headgear, but if he can't get a stoppage in those 3, that's a different story from being able to do that for 12 against a guy with good power. Keyshawn is doing a good job in the pros, and we've already seen Cruz do the stanky leg vs Moran. If I were in his shoes, and I were worried that he's still got my number, I'd want to find out while he's still green in the pros, before he gets a lot of 12 round experience vs top guys.

Also, apparently Keyshawn has promised publicly that he'll fight Cruz again in the pros, and that the result will be different.

Upstaged Benavidez vs Morrell? Lol. Naw.

I guess we found the Top Rank shill embedded inside the BoxingScene staff?
