He did try to move up before karen, but why would he fight karen who he didn't want to fight, to jist drop his belt right after? Why would he not take the accolades of unifying and collecting a ring belt? Boots problem is people want more then he's worth to fight him, so accolades make him more valuable and he will raise his contract minimums for future fights, do you know anything about boxing?

As I said he’s 28. In boxing sometimes you have to overpay to get the right dance partner to raise your profile. Boots is a nobody
