This will be the 3rd time Canelo has defended a title against someone 2 divisions beneath him. He may be the only one to have ever done that.
As for the winner of Benavidez putting the pressure on, I doubt it, the pressure has been on and Canelo hasn’t give a single fook. He’s content to be looked at as a ducker because his fans will adore him regardless. Plus Benavidez and Morrell already left 168.
You heard what I said , right? Canelo is the draw . Not anyone you like or are a fan of . Keep hating.

Bread man’s got too much bias I don’t pay attention to his takes on fighters he knows. Good trainer but his takes are often skewed

It’s not hate when it’s facts. Your biggest draw in boxing has been a major disappointment.

They can’t validate who he really is based on his wins . They need Canelo like Rice needs beans. He can go fight Boots . Now that would be a good fight. Now say Crawford beats Canelo??? He’s gonna have the bigger weight guys coming after him . Hypothetically can he defeat the big boys at the consistency that Canelo does? I think he’s reached his weight limit and needs to fight the top contenders around his weight. Because he’s not a #1 contender at 168. He doesn’t deserve the fight. Man people hate Ginger so bad they really want anyone to come up and rise to defeat him . Instead let’s appreciate each fighter separately and what they do around the weight they are at . Not look for dream matches when the matches that need to be made are there . They just don’t fight enough to build up their brand in terms of popularity.
Canelo had no problem fighting Jermell Charlo - who wasn't the #1 contender at 168 (it's been Benavidez, who Canelo ducks). And Bud is better than Jermell and has more accomplishments. Bud isn't trying to clear out 168 and doesn't need to. Crawford thinks he can beat Canelo. Since Alvarez won't fight Benavidez, why not Bud? Crawford deserves the fight more than Ryder, Munguia, or Berlanga did.

Plus Canelo gets favorable judging. Judge CJ Ross scored his fight against Floyd 114-114 when he lost basically every round. Ross retired after that fight. Canelo was gifted a draw in the first GGG fight. ROBBERY. And all three judges in the Bivol fight had it even after 10 rounds. DISGRACE.

Canelo is a great fighter. His fights from GGG 2 through his unification win against Plant were awesome. That was in incredible run. But Bivol took his heart.

Lastly, that Gamboa fight was 10 1/2 years ago! And that was at 135!! Bud hasn't been in trouble since. And Bud has never had a controversial win.

ppl love how raw boxers are. boxing isn't for the mainstream type of woke ppl. if a boxer comes out and captures the hearts and imagination of the ppl at large, they'll look over everything and support them. look at Tyson. if Gervante would fight top guys and still look like he looks against these b level opponents he could be a star. not just a star of boxing. and get rid of the purse wearing

I love breads passion for the sport.... but I don't see any way how Crawford beats canelo. Its a mismatch in my humble opinion but if bud wants to go there then more power to him, an outstanding boxer with a claim to being the best of his generation p4p. Fury doesn't go 3 rounds against a prime Foreman
