  • Is Danielle Perkins a step too far for Claressa Shields?

Claressa Shields tries to further enhance her legacy when she takes on Danielle 'New Era' Perkins on Feb 2 for all the marbles at Heavyweight. Perkins, a 6ft tall powerhouse and the fighting pride of Brooklyn, as well as Houston, her current place of residence, is 42-years unbeaten! This dwarfs even Andre the Giant's 15-year unbeaten streak before he fell to the Great Hulk Hogan.

Shields going up the divisions to fight someone so much bigger and of this calibre, shows her willingness to fight the very best, but let's be honest, it's not likely she will end Perkins' 42-year unbeaten streak, or do you give her a chance? Nash out - his Majesty

Shields has no power at the lower weights she will even have less at the higher weights. Skills is what might get her through.

Does she have enough skill to also overcome Perkins' 42-year unbeaten streak? Nash out - His Majesty

Definitely. The bookies are clearly unaware of Perkins' 42-year unbeaten streak. Nash out - His Majesty

She has enough speed and footwork to move around but I don't know if the size will be too much to overcome. It is extra tiring to fight a much bigger fighter.
