Im surprised he didn't look more into Nelson. Neither have a great resume, but are both clearly each other's best opponent to date. Nelson has a lot of pop and can box. Pacheco ought to take Nelson more seriously than that.

I don't know much about Nelson, I think I saw him get a stoppage on ESPN a couple years ago. I'm interested just based on the good things people have to say about Nelson, and the fact I'm so-so on Pachecho.

Still waiting for Diego to make moves. He is still just 23, but he's been around for a while with no discernible leap in improvement imo, just baby steps. I've been questionable on his reflexes; i don't know if he has that anticipation for defense and it always bothers me.

I wonder if it could be like that recent Elijah Garcia vs Kyrone Davis fight. Davis brought in to be the toughest opponent for unproven Garcia and it went bad for Garcia who could not get out of the way of right hands,..it was like a self-schooling - he just kept walking into them, no reflex, no defense.

Pretty sure Diego, a smart guy, will not be doing that?

The age difference might favor Nelson. He is older, wiser and still capable. He doesnt look easy to me.
