I love Ali but he was a complicated person & definitely not a saint. He sometimes treated women appallingly. His name calling v Frazier was de****able against a decent man who had done nothing wrong beyond trying to fight for a better life for hisself & his family. He castigated mixed-ethnicity relationships based on nothing but some rubbish he'd been told by Herbert X (although we can see how seriously his own daughters took that). For all that, as the quote goes, taken all in all he was a great man & his achievements way outweigh his failings.

You've just said they were minimum age so he wasn't a '*****' (note correct spelling). I mean, that is by European standards. I know Jerry Lee Lewis married a 13 year old so the standards in the US deep south must be considerably laxer.
