I understand sparring to be sharp. But with a just healed cut, you'd think that there would have been explicit and harsh instructions to stay away from that eye. Some kind of special headgear? Cover the cut with vaseline?

Something. Anything. I honestly like Goodman. It just seems like this was preventable considering the magnitude of the fight.
