Comments Thread For: Jai Opetaia finishes David Nyika in brutal fashion to retain his cruiserweight title

Opetaia, the IBF cruiserweight champion, had to ride out a couple of shaky moments before taking out Nyika, a late replacement, in round four

You could see it in his eyes. That guy was zeroed in like a laser and ruined Nyika.
Nyika should have boxed but it was fun to watch.
Too bad Nyika got hung up on the top rope cuz he took an unnecessary brutal left hook when he was already out.
      I think Jai beats Zurdo.

I watched the fight live. That was a brutal KO! I was very concerned for Nyika. He was out for about 5 minutes. He wouldnt want many more hits like that or hes career will not last long!

I thought Jai was being impatient in round 1 but he wasn't, the way he fought that round was risky but also smart.

In reality, the end was brought about by some superb short-range body punching & it's impressive how much power Opetaia can generate inside.

Zurdo's skill level really is quite impressive, on paper those two styles should fully ignite!

Jai will be hard to beat. He throws a great right hook that is fast and precise. He has a very educated right hand for a lefty.

Why did they post this before I had a chance to watch it? Shoot, now I know hw it ends.

Anyway this is what was supposed to happen. Nyika looks the part standing and flexing, but he didn't looked outstanding in his last fight (maybe the one before that too?)
