Nice duck of the question. I will answer it for you. Benavidez looked skinny fat, while the near 40 year old looked like superman, and in the best shape of his life.

When someone says something like that he's usually worried and want the opponent to cool it down.
Reminds me of Eubank on his faceoff with Benn urging/warning him not to do what he does, otherwise...
I see what you mean. Kind of a reverse psychology thing.

This is true, plus Gvozdyk kept a slow and easy pace when he could've pushed it. Just saying, Gvozdyk fought like he was there to lose (without getting hurt) and get paid.

Benavidez might come correct this time but neither of the David's looked excellent last time out.

Like I said, looks could be deceiving you don't have to look like Sergio Oliva to win a boxing match. He was 37yo on the way out vs a prime good fighter. I really don't know what you want to prove.

Huge difference. Gvoz*** was not only way older but outside the periphery of top level boxing for years. Essentially a showcase opponent whom Benavidez was expected but failed to knock out.

Why are people trying to tear down Benevidez’ record. Always saying he “looked **** against “old” Gvozdyk. Yes Gvosdyk is past his prime, but he is a top level opponent with tons of relevant experience and he was thoroughly dominated. One of these fighters clearly has a better resume and his name is David. I’ll let you guess which one.
Morell might still rise to the occasion but rise he must. He hasn’t faced anyone near this level as a pro.

Well he's fighting a young hungry good fighter in Morrell. He wa Ted it at 168 but Morrells and his people balked after saying they wanted it. And here comes Feb 1.

It was 100% what was expected from that fight. Benavidez went as far as to claim a hand injury - which later was reveled non existent - as the reason for not putting Gvoz*** away.

I do respect Morrell for taking this fight. Win or lose, the guy has earned the respect of prolly everyone. He’s just not beating Benavidez but if he does. I won’t hate it. I just won’t call Benavidez a bum.
