3 of the 5 you named are heavyweights. And most Heavyweights fight til their 40s. So that's a terrible comparison.

Beterbiev can barely make it through a training camp over the last 5 years without postponing a fight.

Benavidez would probably be a pretty big underdog against Beterbiev. I can't imagine the fight happening unless beterbiev starts to look old. Maybe big Saudi money could make it happen? Benavides needs to get past Morrell first anyway.

Mick protected Rocky for years after the second Apollo fight. Look what happened when Rock took on Mr. T. There is an argument to be made that Mick having a heart attack right before the bout caused the beating Rock took.

As much as we all want to see fighters take on the best every fight, combat sport is it's own animal. Aging basketball stars or tennis players or chessmasters.....etc etc....may lose a step and get demolished. But they aren't chancing permanent brain injury and death.

Benavidez is just really wrong for Biev. Biev is not just a face first brawler. He is highly underrated defensive fighter with really good feet and he has insane power. Benavidez would get pummeled and possibly severly injured. Unless Biev ages out fast. Which could happen.

I honestly don't blame Canelo for cherry picking since his skills have eroded. He just shouldn't squat on belts. He built a caree4 on fighting not great guys or past it guys, on aging GGG out. He is a good fighter with a legendary chin, but he isn't beating guys like Biev or Benavidez. He doesn't have the power and he gasses out fast. I don't care for him, but he is smart enough to stay away from guys who would F him up.
