Itauma is not ready for any top heavyweight. He just looks way too small. Putting him in there with someone like Zhang or Bakole would be career suicide at this stage. He needs to grow into his body more. Move him along slowly and there can be potential big fights with smaller heavys like Torres, and Anderson.

Not sure what this is based on cause he’s fought total strangers besides Wach who seemed to be there for a pay in all honesty

"Prospect" do you know what one is. They don't fight top 15s or big names

          Oh got it
          Thanks for the heads up
So your basing him being the prospect of the year by defeating fighters with 10 losses on their record
Besides Wach who else can you actually say makes him prospect of the year ???

Which prospect beats top opponents? Then they are not a prospect anymore are they. Prospect is those with the most potential. He has done well so far. Has like 11 wins, and is only 19, his last ko win vs someone who had 22 wins in 23 fights with only 1 loss vs Hrgovic.

Look at past fighters and go look at their records of who they fought first 11. Who did Tyson fight? Yet people love boasting how lethal he was when he was fighting journeyman in his first 20+ fights.

We are in a social media era so the fighters are judged to higher standards and are hated on more for opponents

I never said top ten opponents
I figured they would base it on more gatekeepers than guys that are at his level
The fact he’s winning these fights off of Ko’s tells me otherwise
              Sorry just my two cents

I thought Usyk had done away with all this.

Itauma is 6'2" 240lbs, he's heavier than Usyk and he definitely punches harder and has faster hands, physically he has the tools on offence.

Size isn't going to be the question with him, it's Chin and gas tank, that's what we need to know about, if he's got those as well he will spark out any of the big lumbering oafs and size won't be an issue.

If he's going to keel over after 8 competitive rounds or as soon as he's hit on the chin then he will be David price again (he was also prospect of the year)

It's toss a coin on which side he lands on, it all comes down to punch resistance and stamina and those are god given at the top end, he will either have them or he won't.
