That was about as grotesque as it gets with a ref. He has done much better since then. But it still can't be ignored. Ward should have been disqualified for that shlt. He knew he could get away with any cheating method he wanted to use and did so throughout his hideous excuse of a career.

Boxing won’t miss this clown referee. The worst I’ve ever seen. This mf actually made the show about himself , he though people showed up to the arena to see him smfffh I still remember when he was being a goldidgger trying to fine both Andre Ward and Rodriguez smh and the on another fight he was stopping Vergil Ortiz mid round and telling him what punches he can and can’t throw. Total garbage referee. And I know you’re reading this. You won’t be missed

Reiss doesn't actually get a cut of any money taken from fighters. You do know that don't you?

No ref is ever perfect. Reiss was a guy that didn't stop fights early and he was usually fair. I'll miss him.

It was atrocious. I remember the post-fight interview when Ward was specifically asked about the head butts. He refuted them; he said he doesn't fight that way, while watching a video monitor replaying one of his blatant head butts. e.g.@ 5:04. Lost me as a fan, and never liked Reiss afterwards either.

Why defend a guy that has been proven to be a fraud? You probably think elon musk is a genius because he promised full self driving in 2017 and he woudk land on Mars in 2022. Hey little hint he's full of sh-it just like any ref who protects a sides. Musk is solid because of the hyperloop! Oh the little tunnel that goes 1 Mile at 5mph? Yeah same thing as the promised 500 mph between Vegas and LA! Oops!!!! SOLID STUFF!!! Reiss is solid because he didn't eff up every single fight he was ever in!
