Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: I thought Fury was in control of the fight

"How come Tyson only got four rounds in this fight?" asked a perplexed Frank Warren after his fighter, Tyson Fury, was judged to have lost 116-112 on three different scorecards in his challenge of heavyweight king Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Now they can do Joshua vs Fury in the UK.
They can call it The Battle of Usyk's Son.

They both got a beating by Usyk twice. Usyk needs to spank Dubious one more time.

Weakest heavyweight era of all time. A cruiser weight comes up and wipes out the whole division. None of these guys belong in the heavyweight great of any era except for the little man, Usyk. Wilder, Fury, Joshua all overpaid average boxers who all got exposed as soon as they fought somebody good.

116-112 is too much, I agree, but Usyk was generally more active and always on the front foot attacking relentlessly.

I was totally upset by the low power of Fury's blows. Such a huge man should "move around" the other fighter with his blows...it was the opposite.

He can well be (have been) a cruiser, but it's taller and bulkier than Alí.

Fury is no longer what he used to be. First five rounds he was fighting to win and the last 7 rounds he was fighting (in spurts) to survive. By round eleven he had trouble keeping his hands up. There was no mustard on his punches in later rounds. He can no longer fight the way he way fighting Deontay Wilder in the second and third fights.

As for Frank - what do we expect him to say? My fighter was beaten easier and more convincingly today than in the first fight?

No heavyweight in history has an easy ride with Usyk.

The fact he's a southpaw is enough to beat 95% of the ATG heavyweights alone, they wouldn't have even sparred one.

Well at least that means no need for a 3rd fight.

Who's the first mandatory for Usyk then?
