Comments Thread For: Oleksandr Usyk praises Tyson Fury and pledges to fight on

Having cleaned up at cruiserweight and heavyweight ? and, after Saturday, having beaten Tyson Fury a second time ? Oleksandr Usyk might be tempted to retire on top. But he has no plans to quit.

If he can be GOAT why not try? A bit more depth now by beating zhang, bakole is all he needs. Now that he's got big names in bag

I agree, what does he seriously have left to prove? A generational great that has cemented his place in the history books

Tyson won this fight , I thought he lost the last one by the narrowest of margins but Usyk simply wasn't as effective this time around due to Tyson's front foot work , the Tyson jab did a great job of keep the smaller man of balance and his upper cuts and jabs made a mess of Usyk the s time around . I had Fury winning by two .....he certainly didn't lose it by four !

He looked his best ever, and he’s three wins away from heavyweight GOAT status: the winner of Parker-Dubois, one of Kabayel, Bakole, or Zheng, and then maybe either Itauma is ready or one more other fight with whoever emerges as the best guy (maybe Torrez Jr or Jalolov at that point). Why retire now?

As long as moneybags Turki is in the picture, keep going.

                  GOAT talk is ridiculous

AJ and Fury are NOT foreman and Frazier lol

Usyk is clearly the best of this era, but this era isn't that good and Usyk isn't blowing his opponents out of the water it's 7-5 or 6-4 on points every time

You can only be the best in your own era. I personally think that if Fury got into a time machine and fought 210 lb Joe Frazier, he would probably beat him. At the end of the day… who knows (I’ve heard the Primo Carnera arguments and don’t buy them). Bottom line Usyk has now cleaned out 2 weight divisions and beaten absolute giants.
