I like having unbiased scoring, but like others here have said, keep that stuff away from people with vested interests.

I will never buy that judges won't have preference of style especially in huge fights where the fighters are globally known. All the biggest fights we have ever seen between elite fighters are affected by this unconscious bias.
You actually do need to somehow create a scenario where tech can remove that bias.
The funny thing is if there truly was a totally impartial AI judge the scores it would turn in would likely be wider than a human judge. We say the rounds are scored round by round but human beings will never work that way. Our brains make predictions and create narratives. I feel like most of us even up score cards.
and then the scum promoters AND the alphabet clowns will have something new to blame for robberies.

AI scoring is worth the look, If for no other reason than to see how long it will before AI systems are hacked by organized crime, foreign intelligence agencies puffing up the glory of the motherland, or by some pimply-faced kid in a basement in Albania to trying to impress his friends. If there is big money at stake, the unscrupulous will figure out a way to beat the system.

The idea of using AI as a completely impartial judge is fascinating, though it would definitely come with challenges. AI could provide consistency and objectivity, but as you said, it might score fights in a way that feels “off” to us because it lacks that human context and emotional nuance. For instance, an AI wouldn’t weigh a knockdown differently just because it was dramatic or unexpected—it would just analyze the stats and patterns.
If AI were to become involved, it would also be important to have transparency in how the algorithm works and what it values in scoring. Otherwise, people might mistrust it even more than human judges. Do you think fans and fighters would ever fully accept AI-based judging, or would it just create a new kind of controversy?
